Bioclimatic upgrading of the 8th Primary School of Sykies, Thessaloniki for improvement of the energy performance of buildings and spaces, through its bioclimatic design and the utilisation of renewable energy sources. Financing of the sustainable “low energy” school which pertains to 4 buildings, 1 pavilion and 6 classrooms including insulation - sun protection, a planted dormer, a photovoltaic system for producing electricity, a autonomous central heating system with compensation, a central lighting control system for common areas, and time adjustable water flow valves for the management of rainwater.
