Opera interactively in Primary Schools

Opera interactively in Primary Schools

An educational program implemented in 147 primary schools across the country, applying a new method of introduction of culture and art forms in education. Students of the schools that participated in the program had the opportunity to experience the world of the Opera "from within", by taking part in all stages of the production of Gioachino Rossini opera "The Barber of Seville", for two days.

Benefits: Harnessing culture to education by using the arts as a teaching tool. Improvement of education with "reviving" of theatre education courses, music and art, as children and teachers participated and learned from theory to practice, how to stage a theatrical performance. Mitigation of educational inequalities between children of the province and the capital, as all children, regardless of social, economic and cultural background could watch the performances for free.
